As a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, I believe that it is in brokenness that we find strength and that it is in the darkest places that hope and healing emerge. My passion is helping individuals grow strong in the midst of their pain and brokenness. I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families who have experienced trauma and/or life transition issues, helping them to walk through the process of healing and recovery.
I believe that therapy is a holistic process that requires specialization based on the client's needs and values. I utilize an interpersonal, trauma-informed, family systems perspective and approach the therapeutic process from a Christian worldview and integrate faith into the therapy according to the client's views and desires. I am also trained in and used trauma-focused treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensorimotor Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I work with issues such as complex trauma, sexual abuse, attachment issues, PTSD, dissociation, relationship/interpersonal issues, couples/marital therapy, codependency, infidelity, depression, spirituality issues, self-esteem/identity issues, family of origin issues and trauma, grief and loss, adjustment and phase of life issues.
I am a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in the state of Tennessee (LMT#1383) and offer both in person and telehealth options for clients located in the state of Tennessee. I am also a Professional Counselor Telehealth Provider (Credential #543 ) in the state of South Carolina. (https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/Counselor.html)
